Founded in 1954 in Melbourne, Australia with a drive-in cinema, Village Roadshow has been listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) since 1988. Still based in Melbourne, few however are aware of the breadth or the diversity of our entertainment and media assets.
Today, Village Roadshow operates core businesses in Theme Parks, Movie Production, Film and DVD Distribution, Cinema and Radio. While creating strong and diverse earnings streams, these businesses are also complementary, targeting a similar customer demographic and providing significant cross-promotional opportunities.

In cinema exhibition, Village Roadshow has exported its expertise to the world, developing cinemas in countries as diverse as Singapore, Greece and the Czech Republic. Village Roadshow also owns and operates the popular Theme Parks on Queensland's Gold Coast: Warner Bros. Movie World, Sea World, Wet'n'Wild Water World and Australian Outback Spectacular, as well as Sea World Resort and Warner Roadshow Studios.
